This special wine tour in Piemonte by SoloBarolo takes the visitor to some of the best barolo producing wineries in the region. Piedmont is a wine region rich in history yet there are viticulture and enology methods have only taken root over the past two decades. Nebbiolo is the great grape of the region and makes a wine of prodigious quality worshipped by wine lovers everywhere – Barolo. Most would agree that despite efforts to cultivate it elsewhere, Piedmont is the only place where it feels truly at home. Despite the relative calm among the beautiful hills and villages of the region, it is a demanding grape which requires extremely refined viticulture and enology to extract its best features.

The SoloBarolo wine tour will be focused on the different techniques used by the several wine-makers of the region, each one giving a different wine. You will discover different wineries – small and medium-big producers, modernists and traditionalists – and be able to taste more than 30 different Barolo´s back to 1974. Wineries are located in the most popular Barolo villages, e.g. Barolo, La Morra, Castiglione Falletto, Monforte d’Alba and Serralunga d´Alba.

Each visit will be followed by a wine-tasting so that you may compare the different flavours and choose your favourite Barolo! Price per person is € 850,- which includes 3 nights at a 4 stars hotel, all transfers, all lunch and dinners and all winery visits/ tastings. Flight to Milano is NOT included.
