Fruity and spicy aroma. Both in the nose and on the palate it presents sensations of small red berries.
It has a full and deep garnet colour.
Violet and rose, cinnamon and pepper, nutmeg, vanilla and sometimes liquorice, cocoa, tobacco and leather. Already pleasant after four to six years, it reaches its expressive peak after ageing of ten, and continues to be excellent even after 20 or more.
Braised and roast red meats, game, dishes served with truffles, hard and mature cheeses. It´s best to open the wine at least two hours before serving to allow it to breathe.
