At the first this wine has a faint nose, which over time develops into a compelling combination of floral and mineral aromas mixed with wet wood and dandelion stems.
Light ruby in color with orange on the rim.
In the mouth it is an unusual combination of power and grace. Brightly acidic with tangy raspberry, redcurrant, and sour cherry flavors, the wine also has a deep resonance and tannic structure that show like a body builders bulk under his clothes. On the finish the wine is airy, and so delicious.
Made only in exceptional vintages, the wine macerates on its skins for up to five weeks with no temperature control regardless of how high the fermentation temperatures may go, and is aged 7 years in botti. Gives a Barolo which can be stored for another 20-40 years.
