AROMA:

Very open, fragrant, appealing wine with a powerful, yet well-balanced bouquet. It has a pervasive nose showing hints of roses, raspberries and underbrush, slight vanilla and liquorice overtones.

COLOUR:

Monastero Barolo Annunziata has a garnet red colour.

TASTE:

On the palate it is full-bodied, with tannins that are very dense and biting, yet never aggressive, showing the wine’s considerable breadth and consistency.

It reaches its peak however after several years in the bottle, where its complex tasting qualities are further enhanced.

FOOD COMBINATION:

Recommended with hard, mature cheeses, and with braised and roast meats and game.
