AROMA:
The nose of Bolmida Barolo Bussia Riserva is fruity and offers delicacy in elegance, a certain generosity, richness in finesse, a certain depth, delicacy. It reveals notes of pulpy/ crushed blackberry, crushed/ fleshy raspberry and more slightly blue plum associated with touches of cornflowers, oleander as well as fine hints of cinnamon, licorice and an imperceptible hint of pepper.
COLOUR:
This wine boasts a magnificent garnet red colour with beautiful glints of ruby; legs with full and lingering tears draw to the fore its clarity.
TASTE:
On the palate it is fruity and offers juiciness, suavity, freshness, a nice definition as well as a certain gourmand, a little tension, elegance as well as dynamism/ energy. The wine expresses notes of pulpy/ juicy blue plum, wild raspberry and more slightly cassis associated with touches of bigarreau cherry as well as hints of licorice, camphor, chocolate, bay laurel and tobacco. Good length.
It comes from vineyards located quite in the board of Bussia of Monforte d’Alba, one of the most famous hill into the Barolo wine area.
FOOD COMBINATION:
Excellent with all kinds of food, but an ideal match in particular for game, roast and grilled meats. Outstanding with mature hard cheeses.
