Grimaldi Barolo Badarina Riserva 2013

Ethereal bouquet, with red fruits, raspberries, herbs, balsamic hints that emerge with aging.

Grimaldi Barolo Badarina Riserva has an intense and brilliant garnet with orange highlights.

Barolo Badarina Riserva comes from Vigna Regnola, the Badarina side historically planted with Nebbiolo grapes given an excellent exposure and an extremely suitable terrain. The concentration of the grapes of this plot allows to produce a Badarina of greater structure and power, which follows the vinification of the grapes of the same mention but is proposed after longer refinements, in cask and in the bottle. It is produced only in the best vintages and the production level is low.

Clusters are selected before the harvest. Vigna Regnola is vinified on its own. Fermentation takes place in temperature controlled tanks. Long skin contact macerations that last 25-35 days and submerged cap management are also carried out. Malolactic fermentation occurs in stainless steel and concrete tanks. Ageing in big Slavonian oak barrels and French oak tonneaux for 24-30 months. The wine is then aged in bottle before being released onto the market.
