AROMA:
There´s a harmony of flavours in which the fresh and sapid side prevails on the softness. Aromas are not yet complex but herald seductive hints of blonde tobacco and young violet.
COLOUR:
The wine has a striking garnet, ruby red color with subtle orange reflections.
TASTE:
A classy and pure Barolo, never aggresive but graceful with a nice drinkability. As per all 2011 from Marziano Abbona Barolo labels, despite the summer heat, in the mouth it shows both a good acidity and warmness brought by the alcohol around 15%.
Made from grapes cultivated in Perno, a village between Monforte and Serralunga d’Alba, this Barolo has a wonderful elegance to its bouquet, good strength, and excellent alcohol.
FOOD COMBINATION:
Marziano Abbona Barolo is an elegant partner for roasts, game, stews, and well aged cheeses. To fully appreciate this wine it deserves to be served in large glasses.
