Bolmida Barolo Bussia Vigna dei Fantini 2013

The nose of Bolmida Barolo Bussia Vigna dei Fantini offers a slight concentration, a fine intensity and a fine point of over-maturity. It reveals notes of fairly ripe strawberries, cassis and more slightly fig associated with small touches of jammy red berries as well as a fine hint of balsamic and licorice.

This wine boasts a magnificent garnet red colour with beautiful glints of ruby; legs with full and lingering tears draw to the fore its clarity.

The palate is fruity and offers minerality, a fresh frame and a certain juiciness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy cherry, fleshy / juicy raspberry and more slightly juicy cassis associated with touches of red plum, fig, small jammy red berries as well as fine hints of rose and tobacco sweet blond. The tannins are finely firm and offer a fine straightness.
It comes from  vineyards located quite in the board of  Bussia of  Monforte d’Alba, one of the most famous hill into the Barolo wine area.  Very slope hill, 22 years old plant , at 450 mt on the sea level ; In total 0,60 ha in property, planted into a sandy miocenic sea sediment, rich in fossil and shelve. Very well sunny (completely exposed to the south) and windy, easy to maintain safe cluster also in rainy vintage.

Excellent with all kinds of food, but an ideal match in particular for game, roast and grilled meats. Outstanding with mature hard cheeses.
